Refurbishments
Just brought a house that needs updating or a full refurbishment? We can help with our full refurbishment service.
A full refurbishment is generally where you strip the house out back to its bones and put it back together how you like it.
The schedule of a refurbishment goes like this:
1. Strip out (fixtures and fittings like carpet, kitchens, bathrooms, tiles, doors, skirting boards, architrave, old wires, old pipes, old plaster).
2. Knock about (remove necessary walls, break floors).
3. First fix carpentry (stud work to form your new rooms and desired layout).
4. First fix plumbing and electrics (wires and pipes are installed in the necessary locations for your sockets, power supplies, lights and waste water outlets.
5. Plastering (stud work is tacked, walls are floated or dabbed and skimmed to create freshly plastered rooms throughout.
6. Second fix ( Electrics and plumbing, kitchens, bathrooms, doors, skirting, architrave, flooring, tiling).
7. snagging & Decorating.
A quality renovation will turn an ugly and dated property into a beautiful fresh new home while simultaneously adding tons of value to your properties price tag.

In terms of surprise bills or hidden extras, that's not what we are about and you won't experience that with us.
Reachable
We understand that having building work done is a nerve racking time, especially if it's your first time. We promise to be reachable and responsive when you need us.
Respectful
We will always be courteous and respectful. From initial contact, on site at your home and treating your neighbors with the utmost respect.
Creating Your Dream Home While Adding Value
Quality building work completed to a high standard with an exceptional finish doesn't just change your daily environment and make your life easier (kids not squabbling in shared bedrooms, long queues for the bathroom every morning), it will also make your most valuable asset more valuable. Here's some industry standards when it comes to how much value you can expect to add with your project. Of course, these figures are not a guarantee, but will give you some kind of idea.
Single story house extension - According to checkatrade a simple single story kitchen extension will add around 5-8% to your homes value.
Double story kitchen extension -It's widely reported all over the web that an extra bedroom will add 15-20% to your properties value. So a double story extension could add 20-30%, particularly when adding to two or three bedroom homes.
Refurbishment - A simple renovation such as redecorating & new fixtures and fittings can add 3% while a complete refurbishment can add 10-15% to the value of your home.
Loft Conversion - A loft conversion with a bedroom/en-suite can add up to 20% to your homes value. Again, particularly when adding onto 2-3 bedroom houses.
Landscaping Good hard and soft landscaping design can add 5-10% in value to your house.
Quality building work is undoubtedly a good spend. Asides creating your dream space to live in and keeping your most valuable asset in great condition, it never actually costs what you spend. The added value will offset cost.
Here's an example - If you live in a £300k home and you add a double story extension with a kitchen below and bedroom bathroom combo above, you could add up to £100k to the value of your house when the project is complete. This offsets against the cost of the project, that's the beauty with bricks and mortar.
